Tidewater Technology Group was selected to demonstrate
the GuardNet Portal as a trial during CWID 06.
As an official Information Assurance trial, this Access
Control engine will link emergency managers with each other
and the information they need. Sponsor agencies and technology partners
are encouraged to visit our
projects link
to get developer information.
CWID is the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff annual event that
enables U.S. Combatant Commands and the international
community to investigate new and emerging technologies that
can be moved into operational use within 6-12 months
following the execution period. The demonstration builds a
temporary global network over which cutting edge
communications technologies interact to support realistic
scenarios. Technologies are evaluated for utility,
interoperability with existing and new systems, and
security.
Project LifeSaver
TTG was selected to provide
Project Lifesaver a
state of the art eCommerce website. However, TTG has developed an
improved, interactive, database driven website - full of life-saving tools, and links to help
public safety officials connect to their community to through the
web. Project Lifesaver relies on
proven radio technology and a specially trained search and rescue
team. Clients that are enrolled in the Project Lifesaver program
wear a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. When
caregivers notify the local Project Lifesaver agency that the person
is missing, a search and rescue team responds to the wanderer's area
and starts searching with the mobile locater tracking system. Search
times have been reduced from hours and days to minutes. In over 1000
searches, there have been no reported serious injuries or deaths.
Recovery times average less than 30 minutes.
